The Yumbe Health Camp, implemented in Uganda's city of Yumbe, continues to be a significant source of hope since its inception. Organized by Çare, this health camp has successfully reached 30% of its goal of conducting a total of 400 surgeries. In the upcoming four days of the camp, we will continue to focus on cataract and general surgeries, aiming to contribute to the healing of the local community and patients from Sudan.
Çare Assoc.’s health camp in Yumbe, led by our ophthalmologists Selim Genç, İlker Genç, and Mustafa Yanık, along with the general surgeon Suat Benek, achieves new successes daily with cataract surgeries and general surgical interventions.
With the support of the Ministry of Health, the Turkish Diyanet Foundation, and TİKA, along with voluntary doctors and assistants, this project aims to deliver healthcare services to the local population with dedication.
The health camp in Yumbe provides hope not only for the people of Yumbe but also for patients coming from Sudan. As part of Turkiye’s international aid efforts, this camp serves as a bridge built on mutual respect and tolerance, strengthening cultural ties and enhancing Turkiye’s positive influence worldwide.
Çare continues to stand by Gaza, which has suffered from genocide and atrocities since October 7th. Our organization provides daily hot meals at its representation in Gaza and does not withhold support from these regions, loading trucks with aid onto ships heading towards Gaza coordinated by AFAD.
The health camp strengthens cultural ties within the framework of Turkey's Century Vision, showcasing how our religious and national values are reflected in our professional and social lives. By reinforcing international solidarity and fraternity, this health camp also increases Turkey's positive impact worldwide.
